What you get

A real skill, taught by people who do the work.

Learn from Narok

Every lesson is a video on your phone. You never have to travel — all the work can be done where you are.

A trainer on WhatsApp

Stuck? Message your KYN trainer or ask on the course board. Someone answers during the week.

Work that gets marked

Each course has three stages. A trainer marks your assignment at the end of each one and tells you what to fix.

A certificate anyone can check

Pass all three stages and you get a certificate with a number an employer can look up.

How it works

From this page to your first lesson.

  1. Apply below

    Five minutes on a phone. The school code is already in, so your school is linked from the start.

  2. KYN calls you

    Within a week, by phone or WhatsApp. If you are under 18, we speak to your parent or guardian too.

  3. Get your login

    You sign in with your phone number and a 5-digit PIN your trainer gives you. Change it to your own.

  4. Learn and hand in

    Watch the lessons in order, send in each stage's assignment, and get your certificate at the end.

Your school can follow along.

Door of Hope teachers have their own login to see how their students are doing. Here is exactly what they can and cannot see.

Teachers can see

  • Which course each student is on
  • How many lessons they have finished
  • Which assignments a trainer has passed
  • Attendance, if they come to practical days
  • When they were last active, and their certificate

Teachers never see

  • A student's phone number or PIN
  • Parent or guardian details
  • The work itself, or the trainer's private notes
  • Private messages between a student and KYN
